Gilbert Albert was a Swiss jeweler renowned for his avant-garde creations, combining asymmetrical shapes and innovative materials. Trained from an early age at the École des Arts Industriels in Geneva, he opened his own workshop in 1962. With great curiosity, he observed the shapes and colors of nature for inspiration, creating jewelry from organic materials (shells, pearls, wood, and even meteorites), turning each piece into a true work of art. Influenced by Surrealism and abstract art, the gold he worked with was shaped to achieve a raw yet natural finish. His creations broke the conventions of his time, taking on asymmetrical and unexpected forms in the world of high jewelry. Overflowing with imagination and in a constant state of reinvention, Gilbert Albert stood out among the jewelers of his era, becoming one of the most sought-after creators among luxury jewelry collectors.
